They may be right in front of me, but which Stanley Gibbons Catalog has Offices Abroad issues (Morocco, Tripolitania, Levant, etc.)? I can't find them in the Concise edition or the specialized Four Kings or pre-decimal Elizabeth. Would they be in the general British Commonwealth edition?

Thanks!

They are in the simplified and the commonwealth catalogues. They are found under their respective titles.
The Commonwealth also lists British agencies abroad immediately following the GB section.

I see officials following each monarch in the Concise, but not offices abroad. (2014 edition), and I don't see them in the table of contents. Strange!

The concise covers only Great Britain, not offices abroad. The same applies to the more specialised "reign" catalogues.

I'd recommend SG Commonwealth & British Empire Stamps 1840-1970 ("SG Part 1") for these.

This includes all the overprinted stamps and listings of GB used abroad.

Good grief. Maybe I will stick with Scott for now. Are there a lot of varieties?

The biggest group of GB offices abroad is probably the Morocco Agencies which have around 342 basic overprinted stamps in SG (and lots of further varieties) with a further 152 GB stamp/office combinations from the days before overprints.

Here are approximate numbers of different combinations of GB stamp and office for each country for GB offices in countries which never had specially overprinted stamps:

I wouldn't expect these to be in Scott although I haven't checked:

Argentina: 38
Bolivia: 12
Brazil: 59
Chile: 92
Colombia: 147
Cuba: 32
Danish West Indies: 32
Dominican Republic: 28
Ecuador: 31
Fernando Po: 3
Haiti: 61
Mexico: 5
Nicaragua: 25
Peru: 125
Porto Rico: 107
Russia: 23
Uruguay: 24
Venezuela: 35
Mail Boats: 193

These exclude different plate numbers of the same stamp used at the same office.

There are plenty of stamps you could decide to collect!Happy

Oog! This is exactly what I didn't want to know - a whole new collecting opportunity. I guess I better add the Commonwealth catalog to my Christmas list. (I was already thinking about it).

Geoff:
Then you can get into the offices abroad for other countries, starting with France (usually listed in the back of France in the Scott Catalog) Rolling On The Floor Laughing Rolling On The Floor Laughing
With exotic names such as : Kwangchowan, Pakhoi, Crete, Alexandria, Zanzibar etc, etc.....you can certainly not just double, but triple your fun.
This is a challenging area, requiring some patience and deep pockets (often).

Have fun!
