Is it a 1940 cover? It looks (to me, anyways) like the postmark reads Nov 21 1949.

Daryl, you are right..as i use a glass to aid my weakened eyes...the postmark is 49, i guess the fellow considered it a Christmas seal FDC..i was going by the stamp. Sorry AMSD the price just went up !

Even the stamp is 1949 (Oct. 7) Poe was not part of the Famous Americans series, but one of the later year's issues that look a lot like them.

And a New Jersey cover too! I do have Burlington since it's a fairly easy town to find. But a very cool cover overall. Especially as the seals are tied.

Charles Gilbert knew what he was doing with seals; he wouldn't have used old seals. I have a good number of Gilbert's mailings; this is nice, because it's commercial.

So, sure, make it cheep and make it mine
