re: Tools of the trade

Hi Rob

All very important,

I love the portable light source, Mine is fixed to my desk, and is a gemmological lamp, which is corrected to daylight at 12 o'clock high, (midday) corrected to 500 nanometres.

Also a good stereo microscope.

I have to buy a paper micrometer, the are pricey, but it is definitely worth it.

Also of course a stamp perforation millimetre guage.

What other treasures do you have for stamp examination.

Hi Franz

I forgot to add the stamp gauges, I have a couple of different ones, and I also have a thirkell position finder. Soon I'll have a rather large camera cabinet with temperature and humidifier controls with lock-up air-tight doors to put my albums in (that's going to cost me over $1,000).

You send all those emus to me and I'll see if I can find any thins.
