Hi Pooh

I compared your stamp with a regular one of mine and there is no difference.

Hi Pooh

I checked in the new 2019 edition of the ACSC and it doesn't mention the dot after "d", but that is expected as many varieties do not get into the book, either by the editor's decision or by sheer forgetfulness; in my case it was sheer forgetfulness. I have a stamp which only 2 exist, it is certified very rare, and the editor wrote notes of its existence; which means it should now be in the catalogue; it is mentioned, but as "not recorded". Confused Angry

I will take the image to the next ACCC meeting on April 15, and see what I can get from the members in attendance.

re: Ink spot on man's pants????

Thankyou for this as it is a BIG help, could you also ask about the circle underneath the Koala that looks like it is attached to the tree. Does the book mentions anything else to look out for with this stamp?? I'm happy I have Koala up the tree stamp I think it is by sheer luck I have them. I will be sitting on them for a fair while Thankyou

re: Ink spot on man's pants????

Hi Pooh

Yes, I've been quite sick lately with a bad strain of influenza A; and with heart failure since my late 20s and diabetes, it could have been fatal, spent some time in hospital. I'm feeling much better now, though I still have a nagging cough, should be as right as rain in a few weeks.

The reason the Pantaloon remains static and the koala in the tree had a value increase is a decision made by the 11 major dealers acknowledged in the catalogue. If a lesser scarce stamp is more in demand than a scarce stamp, the price of the lesser stamp will rise while the other remains static.

But being a catalogue, at times the prices may be incorrect although I believe this time many of the new values are correct, which includes the stamps you have.

This does not affect the status of the stamps, the koala in the tree may have had an increase of value, it won't though be worth more than the Pantaloon, which is the scarcer of the three major varieties.
