Thailand
1896 King Chulalongkorn
Roman Surcharge large 4 Atts.
Should consult Scott or Gibbons catalog for better information. I am not an expert.

Yes, Scott 50 I think. In the Thai catalogues there are two types of this overprint and they do command different values with about 60% of each sheet being the second type. On your example the first 't' in the Atts overprint is damaged either before or after the printing. My documentation on the Rama 5 overprints is out on loan at the moment but I should have it back soon and I Should be able to give you more information on it.
Below is an explanation of this overprint:
The broken English '4' could be a fixed variety with one occurring on each sheet. I can't be sure as I haven't seen an example. The broken first 't' doesn't seem to be a fixed variety. Hope that makes sense.
The SS catalogue numbers refer to an out of print Thai book by Sakserm Siriwong. My copy is from 1998. The captured document is from an unpublished book by Derek Bingham of the Thai Philatelic Society, a UK based stamp club.
Any help with this stamp would be helpful. Sorry it is a bit crooked
