Good morning

I have a group of Early Nepal much like the ones below, but not all green. Does anyone know of a website that helps to identify them? This strip could be a 6, 9 or 17. Tough to distinguish the green. Could these even be fakes?

Thanks for the help

re: Nepal Website?

It's not #6, because that stamp is perforated. It's not #17, because that stamp was printed on European wove paper the same as #6.

It is definitely native wove paper. The rough paper weaving strands are very evident. So, it's #9.

re: Nepal Website?

Kind of what I thought as well. Still would love to find a website to help identify the early issues. Thanks Michael!

Richard's online exhibit is definitely worth a visit and some time browsing, even if you do not collect Nepal. (click on images to see high resolution versions)
