Hi Rob
I thought so as well, Perhaps he was searching for rare postmarks as well.
They are all housed in red Leuchtturm albums, with each having a slip case.
I must have taken him years to find all the post dates.

Hi to all
I just received three large binders, each in a slip case.
They are all Western Australian stamps, each binder covers a different year group postmarks
.
The first covers from 1855 to 1900
The second covers from 1901 to 1906
The third covers from 1907 to 1914+
They are a study of all the postmarks for every month and every day.
I have posted two just to show how they have been set out.
It is going to take a long time to check every one, and also to fill in any of the spaces and also to scan all the pages, so I have a data base of them as well.
The collector has spent a lot of time and effort setting up the pages.
Where the stamps are upside down, it indicates the watermarks are reverse.
Also some are on thin paper, and you can see the mounts through the front of the stamps as well.
Regards
