This seems to have no country ID whatsoever, leading me to assume it's a cinderella, but for what? It looks a bit Eastern European.

re: FESTIVAFABRIIK?

The cancellation overlapped the wording on the stamp. But when I zoomed in I saw it was "Eesti" (Estonia) and "Vabariik" (no idea...).

So when I Googled it, turns out it means "Republic of Estonia".

I then went to Stampworld (a great resource for research that can probably help with 90% of all requests for identification) and plugged in the value "10" and the currency "M". Presto! it is from a 1924-25 issue (perforated - the same stamp was issued imperf 1922-23).

Looks like minimal CV but an interesting stamp nonetheless.

Cheers, Dave.

If you don't have internet available at the time, but you have a Scott catalog, looking up "EESTI" in the Index at the back of every catalog will tell you what the country is and where to find it.

Don't forget to use the catalog. It is a good tool that goes well beyond pretty pictures and numbers.

re: FESTIVAFABRIIK?

Estonia (Eesti Vabariik) is the northernmost of the Baltic states.

Interesting translation which indicates the official name of Estonia (often abbreviated as Eesti on stamps) was Eesti Vabarik otherwise known as Republic of Estonia.
