I need someone to show me how to measure the Persia or Iran Ahmad Shah Qajar stamp portraits from 1911-21. The differences are VERY slight - however, that changes their values significantly. The one shown is perf 11.5 x 11.

Tall Portrait: 23 mm

Short Portrait: 22.5 mm

How to measure - From where to where?

Measure from the line under the "PE" straight up to the line above the Arabic characters

re: How to measure Ahmad Shah Qajar portraits of Persia?

Thank you, Michael. The ones that I have are the common ones, tall portrait. I recently came upon a very old dealer's stock and am working my way through it. The Persia stamps include issues that must be counterfeit, as I cannot imagine that this many valuable stamps would have been included.

50-52
66
90-100
130-35
321
336-40
422-27

The collection includes 185 stamps from 1882-1925. Do you know of anyone who would be able to look at this collection to determine what is actually real?

I can figure out some of them, but we do have an Iranian expert here, BlueCollarWrench. You may want to send him a message and ask him.
