re: looking for more help with China

Bob:

You better hope you don't find any more like that!

From my own experience searching through Scott and StampWorld for early stamps of China, I recognized it immediately as a Sun Yat Sen "around 1940" issue. But that's where the headaches just begin.

There are so many China stamps that look the same but are from any of the dozens of regions, etc there that I have literally spent hours just tracking down 4-5 stamps.

Excruciating! That's why I'm leaving early China to the very last of my sorting and sifting stamp life!

Cheers, Dave.

re: looking for more help with China

There are some countries I avoid because of difficulties in sorting. China is one of them! There are others, but my mind has blanked out at the moment. I must admit that I collect US and there is very little as difficult as early US material. The older Washingtons and Franklins are enough to drive you batty!!
