Mack:
...You have been an SOR member since 2014.
...You are a fellow Canadian.
...You are a fellow "Bluenoser" (i.e. a Nova Scotian) although I admittedly now live in Ontario.
...You also have a goatee (although slightly better trimmed than my own).
So I instinctively want to trust your posts.
But lately you have been putting up links without descriptions of what they contain and why we should click on them - or what we will find.
That makes me nervous (and I am not generally concerned about stuff like this, so it makes me wonder about how other, more conservative, SOR members feel).
Although it is not a failsafe, could you please add some commentary to your posts about what you are linking to?
Cheers, Dave.
Has anyone tried one of the lower cost 'book' scanners that are now being advertised? Not that long ago library quality book scanners with dual cameras were tens of thousands of dollars and well out of my league. (These book scanners are able to scan pages of books without the spine being broken to get flat pages. They come with software to correct the scan for the bend in the book's pages and perform OCR and such.)
to me, when I receive an email or message with only a link, it is like not receiving anything at all, I go straight to the big D key.

this is a process I usse to translate foreign language catalogs and documents
