In April/May of this year Royal Mail issued a special slogan postmark celebrating Captain Tom`s 100th birthday. They also painted the post box near his residence at Bedford Road in Marston Moretaine blue in honour of his feat of raising funds for health workers .
. I am wondering if anyone would have saved a sample of that slogan cancel or even have a photo of the postbox ? Please message me if you do. I would like to add these items to my pillarbox collection. I believe that Captain Tom has since passed away.

Don't think he has passed away yet, not that I can recall seeing anything on the news anyway.

He was made an Honorary Colonel by his old regiment and Knighted by Her Majesty the Queen so he is now "Sir Thomas Moore".

He is now 100 years old.

I just read on line that Queen Elizabeth will be Knighting Mr Moore on Friday July17th at Windsor Castle. Her first outing in public since COVID began. I
m hoping someone Applause makes a few covers of Sir Moore.
