Hi Calstamp,
Thank you for the information of where to find these Cinderellas, most informative, John
so I've learned what a crown is by multiplying a stamp x 2
which is probably much better than thinking that the Falklands must be near the Solomons, where their King, refereeing between two aggrieved monarchs, split the difference and the crown, and let them both go home Victoriaously
The Michel catalog has very little to say about these stamps, just this: There are 19 face values, they were prepared by the old government that had fled the country, and they haven't been issued for use.
....one another member ask same question, and it go: Montenegro issue, Gov't in Exile issue, 1921, Gaeta - Italy, You have mixed samples from set issued 1921, full set is 12 values, but exist some "option" for this set, as perforated without overprint, imperforated without overprint, imperforated with overprint, and imperforated double overprint. As it is issue of Gov't in Exile, it is not used on Montenegro soil, so Michel or Scott will give little information, for this kind of material You will need one "local" catalog (which I use - M. Radicevic, 2011 edition, catalog number 1-12), so, in local catalog, this set have nice catalog value, if it is full set, depending on which option You have, price range go from 75.00 euro to 360.00 euro. Yes, it is just catalog value, but on market, hardly You will find full set in one or another option.
Hi, I believe these stamps are Montenegro, but cannot find them in Scott, so any help would be most appreciated, Thank you, John
