Issued by the Venizelos government = Provisional Government of Crete
Not admitted by the Universal Postal Union

The stamp is a rather common forgery
The 1905 issues as with all the early Crete stamps have far more forgeries than originals
The 1905 forgeries are very well made and only a minor feature (different for each series) identifies them
The original (and reprint) has 2 thin frame lines on the top right
The forgery has only one as with the image originally provided

below, a pair of reprints the colors are much deeper

I just realized I have this same stamp and have it filed under Russian offices in Crete. At least now I know what it is! Applause
