This looks very good. I've felt for a while that there are more tools in the toolbox of smartphone, scanner, and computer that I'm not using as well as I might.
Thanks very much for posting this!
(And please feel free to post a reminder again a day or two beforehand!)
There was a group a while back called the Philatelic Computing Study Group that covered the use of computers.
Tried to join this both from the link above and from link provided directly on BNAP website, both said invalid meeting code.
That's 'cause these messages date from last year.

Updated information related to the available web links to remove those that are no longer active.
I used to get emails from them but hsve not seen any for a long time.
I received the following announcement which may be of interest to others:
Digital Philately Study Group
The British North America Philatelic Society (BNAPS) is pleased to announce the creation of the Digital Philately Study Group. Digital philately, especially in the COVID-19 era, is becoming a significant component of the hobby. Computers, smart phones, scanners and innovative software have enhanced the way we study and exhibit stamps. Not everyone can afford machines like the VSC Series used by several North American certifying organizations, but most, if not all of us, have a computer or a smart phone. The Study Group will explore an incredibly wide range of topics that are NOT genre specific. Because of this, BNAPS has invited The Royal Philatelic Society of Canada to be a co-sponsor; the intention of the Group is to bring together all philatelists of all levels together and explore ways each and every one of us can enhance our collecting and exhibiting experiences.
Please visit the Northwest Federation of Stamp Clubs website www.nwfedstamps.org for further information.
Look forward to seeing you all!
Best,
Dr. Darin Cherniwchan
Chair, Digital Philately Study Group, BNAPS-RPSC
Editor, TFP
Canadian Director, NWFSC
