My 2018 Unitrade catalog lists 7 different perf varieties and illustrates them. According to my eyes, type 3 is identical to type 7. I went through a packet of 100 of these and did not find any varieties not pictured. Has the listing been revised with a new illustration or elimination of a type? I don't own a complete booklet to check. Anyone with a newer edition of Unitrade? Thanks,

Tad

re: Battle of Vimy Ridge --- Scott #2982

If someone has a complete booklet the #2982vi Type 7 die cut in question is Position 7 in the booklet.

#2982ii Type 3 is Position 3 in the booklet.

The 7 different die cuts to shape singles are from the Quarterly Pack/Annual Collection.

There is a listing on ebay.ca #2982ii, iii, v, vi - Battle of Vimy Ridge 2017 - 4 diff. perf. - Type 3, 4, 6, 7 with clear scans (front & back of stamps).

BUT I cannot see any difference between Type 3 & 7. ?????

I've sent a message to the seller asking what the difference is between the two stamps.

I don't know this issue but the two perfs (teeth) at the top left corner of the top left and bottom right stamps look different to me.

You are right nigelc. The two die cut perfs at the top left hand corner of Type 3 & Type 7 are different.

Thanks Patches and nigelc for your quick response. My eyes are not well enough to see the difference of the top left corner perf. A magnifying glass helped. So, there really are 7 different perf varieties.

On another note, many of the US booklet stamps have different varieties but are not mentioned in any catalog that I'm aware of.

Thanks again for your selfless help.

" ... On another note, many of the US booklet stamps have different varieties but are not mentioned in any catalog that I'm aware of. ..."

That is probably because there is. or are, few collectors who care enough about assembling blocks or sheetlets that are not MNH and still attached like delirious newly weds.
I often try to collect an example from each position, but then that's me.
