That's what I used to mount my stamps back in the day, some of which are still in use! I searched high and low and gave up. I couldn't find any, anywhere. Not very imaginative or informative back in the 70's, was I? They need to be re-done to match what I have now!

Black quadrille pages are available in the UK from Dauwalders:

I have looked for a supplier in the US/Canada and have not found one yet. It is not clear to me whether you can just order blank black quadrille pages from Dauwalders or can only get them in their Springback binders.
Ordering them from the UK to US, the bottom line is each page cost about $1 (US). I have yet to order any from them but I am sorely tempted.
You can buy blank black cardstock (65lb) that is acid free & lignin free in the US for 10cents/page here:

I have created my own pages by hand drawing a grid -- painful -- not recommended. Image below.

Those are the Unitrade Uni-Safe brand from days of yore!

Thank-you for the links. I will follow-up.

Dang, I just surfed in to my favourite paper retailer, and they are "Closed for Maintenance" with an ominous note saying they are now closed.
(sigh)
I hope it is temporary!
I remember those black pages! I used them until I started making my own album pages, along with stock books with black pages. There's nothing like a black background to make a stamp or a cover just "POP!" off the page. That's why I usually use black mounts for my album pages and exhibits.
I first got the idea years ago when I read one of Jaques Cousteau's books. He told how he and his team of divers found the remains of a ancient ship in the Mediterranean. It had been a cargo vessel laden, at least in part, with glazed, black dinner plates in perfect condition. On a whim, they decided to serve a meal on them and were astonished at how attractive the food was. Ever since then, I've always searched for black plates whenever we needed some new ones. Doesn't this meal look tasty though? (I'd like to say that I prepared that meal, but I didn't!):

Years ago, Unitrade Associates, in Toronto, stocked 3-ring punched, 8.5" x 11" quadrilled stamp album pages, black in colour. The pages were their own brand. They don't stock them anymore.
Is anyone aware of a company that still makes such a thing?
