Those coils were produced in sheets of 100 long (coil roll of 100) x 10 across and scored between each roll. You could buy a "tube" of 10 coil rolls and "snap off" a single coil roll due to the score line.
The score line varied in depth, some were so light that only an indentation can be seen under magnification. These are frequently, improperly, offered as "imperf between".

Unitrade had a word about these at the front of the catalogue. They are common, and I have a block of 4. They command little or no premium!
The coils were sent out as "sticks" of 10 coils of 100 stamps each. Clerks would then break off a roll of coils to sell. Some were sold in multiples rolls, leaving the stamps intact with just the score line between. Sorry to say that they aren't worth much!

Dang, Roy beat me by a few seconds!
"Dang, Roy beat me by a few seconds!"
Thanks very much for the feedback. I see now that, yes, Unitrade says they are "common, commanding little or no premium" under Coil Stamps in the Stamp Format intro section.

Here's another odd one - a horizontal pair of Scott No. 550i. Doesn't seem to be listed in the catalogue.
