My copy of Austria Scott No. 296 from the Symbols of Art and Science series is perf 12½ x 12. That seems to be an anomaly, as I only find it listed at perf 12½. Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks,
Hugh

re: Austria Sn 296

Most of the stamps in this set come with two different perforations, maybe more. I believe that it was common practice for the early Austrian stamps to come with different perfs.
I have one stamp exactly the same with six different perf. all the way from 9 to 13, I mean the perfs. are so obvious that you don't even need a perf. gage to tell them apart.

Interesting, thanks! Odd that the catalogues don't mention these perf ranges.
