I'm into an INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR POSTAGE STAMP ALBUM where the stamps end around 1924-25. Lots of questions. Any and all comments about the 2 stamps shown will be greatly appreciated. Please notice the B. Q. perfin. Thank you. The B Q Perfin was used by:-
Bernard Quaritch Ltd,
Bookseller,
11 Grafton Street,
New Bond Street,
London W1.
Being a Bookseller would account for the use of such high cost postage at the time.
Hi Bob,
These BQ perfins were used by a London bookseller: Bernard Quaritch Ltd, 11 Grafton Street, New Bond Street, London W1.
Thank you Ian & Nigelc. That was great!
Britania may well Rule the Waves, but Britain waves the rules

I don't think they are 173 and 174. I think they are 179 and 180.

Thank you Roy!!! I was even thinking about contacting you directly about these. Normally I go to the Threads and work backwards. Yesterday I was just getting tired and lazy.

Bob,
Do you have a UK Concise ?
If not, I have an extra old one 1996,
but it will have all the listings you would need
about classic UK stamps.
Free to you of course,
or anyone else if you do not.
SEnd me a PM.
