I just read the email invite. First, it is an in person event. The sessions in NYC and California are sold out.
Reading the agenda it will be very general. There is a half hour on Collectibles and Toys.. keep in mind there is a half hour just for sneakers.
I don’t see much value.
I can just picture being surrounded by eBay sellers of ladies clothing, baseball cards, household goods and of course sneakers!
eBay has pretty much abandoned the original collectibles sellers who helped it get off the ground. For the past decade they have just been unsuccessfully chasing Amazon's tail. I don't believe anyone there today would know how to take it back to it's roots.
Not that long ago on one of eBay's boards a postcard seller asked how to increase their sales and profits. The ebay response was to sell popular things like sneakers! Soooo out of touch
