I only use my sweatbox to separate mint stamps stuck together.
Last time I used it was approximately 6-8 months ago.
what exactly is a sweat box and how does it work?
i tried to google it but the results were eh... NSFW
Jan-simon, take a look at this post, there are some photos further down the posting.

They can be purchased or you can make one yourself, as you can see in the pics that sheepshanks made note of above.
A very simple device that works well no matter if homemade or store bought.
I use mine when I buy boxlots of stamps and find multiples of mint stamps stuck in piles in the bottom of the box.
It works well to separate them with very minimal gum disturbance.
Of course, if you are one who doesn't care about the adhesive on mint stamps, then you would soak them in the 'normal' way to separate them.
" .... then you would soak them in the 'normal' way
to separate them. ...."
That works for me. and then uin a hinge i easy.
Because of this thread I made two sweat boxes. One is for removing hinges on mint stamps and the other is for use with hydrogen peroxide. I'm pleased with both while working on the Siam first issue stamps. The peroxide works better with the red stamps oxidized brown than with the yellows also having turned brown.
Does anyone still use sweat box instead of soaking stamps?
