Thanks Dave. I very much appreciate it!

There are also two volumes of Victoria postmarks available. They were part of a series of four or five, but the death of one of the authors cancelled the project.
The information can all be found on the link I sent you, but books are better aren't they? They're not too hard to find.
Dave,
On the site you gave me, for a Post Office listing, when it states "RO 1/3/1887; PO 1/7/1927; closed 30/6/1962.", what does the RO mean? I'm assuming that the PO means Post Office Open.
Regards ... Tim.
The RO means Receiving Office. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that RO's were established for mail distribution, and PO's were established when demand was high enough.
I currently have an excellent book called "New Zealand Post Offices" by R. M. Startup, that gives me the Post Office Name, the Postal District that the Post Office is in, the operating from and to dates, and the name that the Post Office used to operate under or was changed to. I have similar books for the US Midwest written by Richard Helbock. I'm trying to find a similar book to cover Australian Post Offices. I've looked on Amazon, both in the US and Australia, and I've done general Google searches, but am not finding a similar book for Australia. Can anyone suggest a book (or website) that may give me what I want?
Regards ... Tim.
