"These "Covers of the Day" are selected from my database of 150,000 covers that I have sold on ebay going back 22 years. Prices realized range from $3 to $2,000.
Covers are selected like an Improv show ... audience shouts out a topic / country / theme and I'll see what I can show. I may provide a short description, but philatelic "write-up" contributions to the post will be welcome and will hopefully stir conversation and participation.
You are the audience ... shout away. Send a DM or post here."
VERY cool! May I ask what was the price realized?
"VERY cool! May I ask what was the price realized?"
The auxiliary marking is missing some letters. It looks like NO AIRMAIL SERVICE BY THIS ROUTE ???SEN. Anybody know what that last word is?
Also, this was applied in Ireland, am I correct?
Lifted from another similar cover of the same period:
Roy
Ah yes, thanks Roy.
The last name on the address, and on the return address, is D'hondt. Interesting when you Google it.
The return address says: Edgeworthstown, County Longford, Ireland (right in the center of Ireland)
What is the cost today?
When was this cover sold?
