The Louisville, Kentucky Stamp Club sponsored a show this past weekend and my wife and I drove up from Huntsville, Alabama to attend the show and do a bit of site seeing in the area. The show was quite small, five to six dealers, but I managed to pick up several items for my new Mexico 1944-1970 collection and have now passed the half way mark in the album. In addition I got four missing France semi-postals for my France collection, two issues for my Great Britain collection (mint Scott #82 and 102 issues with light hinge marks, new additions for this collection are becoming quite rare), and several Canada and Newfoundland issues for my International 1840-1963 collection.

We visited the Frazier museum on "Museum Row" in downtown Louisville plus the Louisville Slugger museum and manufacturing facility and went through the Evan Williams bourbon experience complete with tasting of four different products from the company. Since I had never had bourbon before it was interesting. Actually I seldom have any alcohol products although my wife really likes dark beers of various persuasions. I highly recommend the Frazier museum which had many very interesting exhibits.

We, also, had the opportunity to drive up to Carmel, Indiana and visit with former next door neighbors from almost 25 years ago which was a great experience.

Father's Day was capped off with a very nice gift of an airline ticket from my wife and children to go to the Great American Stamp Show in Cleveland in August!

It was definitely a weekend of blessings.
