I bought some but have been hesitant to use them. Hexane is sold as "mass air flow sensor" cleaner in an aerosol can at auto parts stores. I hope that someone here has tried them and can confirm that they are OK to use. I was also concerned about the pH of the dots as well.
Heptane not hexane. Something like Ronsonol lighter fluid, which is what I use for WM fluid.
I have not used EZ Dots on stamps and not sure I would. I have used it to stick old mounts back into position on the album page. The adhesive rubs off easily from my experience, but not sure I would rub a valuable stamp too hard.
Just obtained a couple of albums with the notation inside that some of the stamps have been attached to the pages using E-Z Dot adhesive. It also indicated that they can easily be removed from the album by placing a drop of watermarking fluid or heptane ("Bestine") on the stamp.
I googled E-Z Dot adhesive and it is primarily used for mounting photos and such to pages.
Has anyone ever come across the use for postage stamps and what are the results.
Mel
