Do they make transcripts available after the chat? I always find it better to read the information, rather than try and follow someone speech.
The Stamp Chats are posted on youtube. Part 1 of Collecting 101 has already been posted.
Thanks Al, but they are still videos not transcripts.
I see the transcripts but takes a couple clicks
You have to select transcripts....off the .... (lower right in image))

Then scroll down and slect "show transcript" and then they will appear on right side of video. There may be a faster way.

Thanks Al, I had not realised the transcript was available, but it is actually only a cc transcript with all the associated errors and a pain to read. Guess I'll just forgo the articles.
Appreciate your efforts.
Here is another speech to text failure.....

I wanna be a fladalist!
While trying to understand the subject matter of the YouTube contribution, does pronunciation really detract from understanding, ultimately, the subject matter, when you already fully understand the meaning intended? I thought about that for a while and my head hurt. I had a tall 14 year (old, I mean aged in oak barrels, they say) GlenWhatsIt and reached a conclusion: While growing up is possible amongst my demographic, and I advise it, it may, perhaps not be ideal for longevity.

I spend all my time with covers; if you have cover requests, I'm happy to act on your behalf. Feel free to DM me if you want to chat. I actually enjoy looking at covers with an eye towards others' collections as well as my own. So many more chances for success.

Inside the newsletter is an invite to a zoom meeting by a group the "Collaboration Crew"
On Tuesday, September 24 at 7 p.m. Eastern, members of the Collaboration Crew will hold a panel about collaboration opportunities, knowledge sharing, joint initiatives, and planning for the future within the philatelic world. The panel will feature Harold Krische, Gregg Redner, Suzanne Rae, and David Ball. Make plans to join us via Zoom for what promises to be a fascinating conversation!
"Make plans to join us via Zoom for what promises to be a fascinating conversation!"
I have attended a few of these calls and there are always interesting ideas raised but there is no silver bullet since implementation does not guarantee immediate results. Yes, some never talk (not one to say much myself) but usually a core set will speak up.
For example, a group named "Learning about Stamps Online" just had a zoom meeting to discuss improving clubs.
Link to group:
https://learningaboutstamps.org/
Under PROGRAMS, you will see links to their two recent zoom meetings.
I do not belong to a local stamp club since they meet at night and too far away. I liked one club that had meetings Sunday PM for auctions, etc. and then a separate zoom meeting to do educational.

APS Announces Partnership with Grouper
The APS is thrilled to announce a partnership with Grouper, an organization that provides benefits to seniors for staying active in their communities, including covering costs associated with group activities. According to the United States Surgeon General, staying socially active in group activities has proven health benefits and is critical for older Americans, who have above-average risks of social isolation and depression.
APS members with an eligible Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement plan can receive a $50 check from Grouper just for engaging in group philatelic activities! And if you continue to stay active in those activities, Grouper will send you a $20 social wellness incentive every three months.
From stamp shows to club meetings, APS activities keep our members socially connected and promote a healthier, more fulfilling life. We know you value the community and camaraderie of the hobby; let Grouper support those values.
