It did not work when I tested it just now?
I followed the instructions but when I pasted it to the stamporama page it pasted ok but it was not highlighted in blue, and when I clicked on it nothing happened.
It does not work for me or I'm doing something wrong but do know what I'm doing wrong.
When you put it on the SOR page it is not automatically highlighted in blue. You have to do that yourself.
Put your curser on either the left or right of the URL you just put there.
Hold down the left click on the mouse and move to the other end of the URL and then release the mouse.
It should be highlighted.
Then all you have to do is left click on LINK.
This should work but it is hard to explain stuff like this in words. I taught computer courses for years and finding the right words isn't always easy!
All you need to do now is... go your first posting and click 'EDIT'.... Highlight the link that you entered... and then go down to the buttons below the message box and click on the 'Link' button. Then click the 'Submit Message' button and you are done!
OK I'm going to try this link thing.

I'm very sad and disappointed. This is the second time this year that a member has left over discussion in the forum. One of the things that attracted me to Stamporama was this discussion forum. I've learned so much and enjoy reading through it every day.
For the life of me I can't understand what could get someone that angry over what should be, and is, enjoyable. I don't know what the angered the first member with whom I've traded and bought from and I get that Mr. 1898 is a bit cantankerous but if they post something you don't like, just don't engage them. I must be missing the worst of the exchanges as these are extreme responses and really unnecessary.
I agree, sort of! 1898 and I didn't see eye to eye on things and we had a few nasty replies to each other. His knowledge in his subject area is not going to be easy to replace. But according to a previous post he has been removed from two other forums so maybe it was a matter of time. I hope he is well and does well!! We have to try not to antagonize each other, live is way to short to make enemies!! It is especially sad that several people posted likes to the post where he said he was leaving. Hopefully he didn't see that!
1898 liked to argue with everyone and give snide remarks any time he was questioned. He never gave a straight answer and acted as if he was smarter than everyone here. I tried to interact with him but he didn't seem to know how to have a civil conversation, always a smart remark. Several of us on stamporama were patient with him and tried to show him how to post a link. He preferred to argue on all of the threads he posted. I just ignored him but did give him a chance to learn to make a link but he said it is too hard for him.

I found irony in him being unable to follow the numerous SOR instructions for posting a link yet chiding others that they should be able to search the entire internet for what he mentioned in his posts.

Is this an appropriate thread to discuss this?
Just asking because it's supposed to be for TESTING purposes.
