You have always been a stickler for the Rules here on Stamporama so I am totally amazed and even flabbergasted that you posted the above in the Approval Discussion Topic rather than Stamp Approvals Notes and Notices. I always assumed that telling folkies what you were listing or de-listing was more of a selling/marketing gimmick rather than opening a topic for discussion.
Never has my flabber been so gasted!!
You are correct Ian...wrong place. But blame it on blurry eyes after all the Xmas related drinks.
I am glad to see that you are feeling better Ian, and back to picking on me...all in the spirit of Xmas no doubt.

I just put it down to you being as doddery as me!
Ian,
In the U.S., the word "gimmick" is normally used as a pejorative word. Is this not the case in the U.K.? I am aware that the word "scheme" is usually not pejorative in the U.K. although it is in the U.S.
gimmick:- A marketing gimmick is any novel feature, technique or idea primarily aimed at attracting publicity or increasing a price point while adding minimal intrinsic value to the product or service in question.

Just activated 2 more Argentina Books, plus a Mexico Book. This will be all for now for the Latin America focus.
Several Approval Books for Latin America, which I activated as early as Sept 2023, have already or will be retired soon by the system. Prices have been reduced on many of the remaining books.
I will CLOSE most of the remaining Latin America Books, in January 2024 and will be taking a small break from selling, as I prepare more books for later in the spring of 2024, but with a different focus. I need to focus on my collection rather than selling, I am honestly in need of less distractions. And Approval Books take a lot of time and effort, when Cat #s and sequential ordering is the goal.
For your information, there are still many active Latin America books (including multiple Books for several countries) for: Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Guatemala, Bolivia, Ecuador, Brazil, Venezuela, Uruguay, Mexico, Paraguay.
Next Year, I will shift my focus to Europe and the Middle East, so if Latin America is your thing, take another look before all books are retired.
I will be billing ALL outstanding orders by year end, so this is your last chance to purchase something in these books, and add them to outstanding orders. Several orders not yet invoiced are small, so this will help spread your shipping costs.
Thanks to all who showed an interest. It is fun sharing with fellow collectors.
