I am confused about this stamp. Is it 64, 65 or 66?

re: Scott number

My best guess is 65, but that is in jest as it is sadly impossible to judge a color online.

re: Scott number

My US Scott's specialized doesn't list #66. It has been taken out and can be found as 66TC6 where TC stands for trial colour, which is lake. And then when I looked in that section it didn't show up. So either #64 (pink) or 65 (rose)!!! I wouldn't even want to guess by looking at a screen image, we might not be seeing the same thing. Get a real good colour guide and make an educated guess. Colour shades of early US stamps, assuming they are not faded or oxidized, are enough to drive you crazy!!!
I supposedly have 64 and 65 and they are definitely different. The first is much more pink than the second. My wife figured all of this out a long time ago and she was much better at this sort of thing than I was. I trust her judgement!!!!
EDIT: I keep looking at your stamp. If the colour reproduction on your and my screen is accurate it looks more rose than pink so it probably is #65, IMHO!
