I would interpret this as any 7 (7, 7a, or 7b) cut to shape is worth $10.
That's what we're leaning toward. Thanks, BNG.

This is an auction item donated to our state stamp federation. The glassine is labeled "UK 7 / used / cut to shape." The donor tells us to put a minimum bid of $10. The Scott value on the glassine is $1000, which indicates he or she believes it's a 7 or a 7a. Obviously there's no way of telling from the scan what shade of violet this embossed stamp is.
My question:
The Scott catalog shows "Cut to shape" under "7b." Does that mean the $10 value only applies to 7b, or does that include 7 and 7a? If it's only for 7b, should that be how we should list it in the auction? Scott's indentation has me confused!

re: GB 7 -- or is it 7a or 7b?
