See scan, hand scribed cancels were used most. Machine hand stamped cancels are harder to find.

Here are some examples both hand scribed & machine hand stampeds.

Besides myself any sor collector collect this early matching date cancels 1 Oct - 24 Dec 1862?

I collect US revenues as well, I really appreciate the colours and the quality of the engraving! I'm not into the varieties as some of you are but it really jazzes up the US BOB collection. I posted a whole bunch of pages in a previous post that I can't seem to find. I'll just show one of my favourite pages here! I've filled the top row since this scan was done. I really like the second one in the second row, beautiful hand writing! Up here cursive writing has almost disappeared in schools, many young people don't have a signature anymore! I don't check stuff like this for varieties as some of you do but I really like the look of the stamps! The cancels in the ones in the original post above are spectacular, I especially would love to have the red one! Great stuff and thanks for the post!!
EDIT: I know this is a bit off topic, sorry about that!
