Sounds fun!
I'd join.

What's the methodology? i.e. circuit? one on one? Something else?
Roy
Great news!
I forgot to mention that to make the postage worth it we used to send $100.00 worth of stamps at a time, it is up to you if you want to send 100 stamps at a dollar each or less stamps with higher value.
Also we kept a tally of what we sent as not to send the same stamps.
You can send stamps to any and all members, in return you'll receive stamps from whoever you sent stamps to. We need to use a catalog that is not too old, I recall Scott making some adjustments to stamps prices around 2016 or 2017 so anything like that or newer should work.

So it's basically a one-to-one exchange of $100 c.v. packets, right? No selection of individual items and return of the balance by the recipient? No tracking c.v. taken?
I presume it starts with a list of participants' "interests" / "have available"?
Do you have a record of your old "How it works" instructions that you could post?
Roy
I might be interested, if a problem I see could be resolved first:
Let's say I'm interested in stamps of Canada, but I use the Scott Cat. for Cat. value, but the other person uses Unitrade Cat. for current value, or some other Cat.
How would this work?
That's a good question and to be honest we never had that issue to come up. I'm not too fond of the Scott catalog but at the same time I agree that here in the States it is the Bible for stamp collectors. I don't think that the price difference can be that great and I'm sure that we can work something out, communication is the key to success.
Feedback on the firsts trades are coming in,
"There is some good stuff in there for me to use in future trades, and the Czechs and most of the Germans are going into my collection."
We are four members already, remember the more the merrier and better chances to expand our collections.
This sounds interesting. When we get back from holidays, I'll check it out.
Larry
Great!
So far is only four members but like I said before, the more the merrier.
Why pay for higher value stamps when you can put your duplicates to work for you.

Still waiting for you to publish the method (rules, terms, how-to --- whatever you want to call it.)
Roy
@Roy
These are the "rules" Tony sent me.
He said there aren't really any rules.
-Ari
There are no rules "per se" but use common sense like no damaged stamps no CTOs, being a worldwide collectors club anything goes, it is up to you, you can send a stamp worth $100.00 or 100 stamps at a dollar each, that's really the only rule, no under a dollar stamp and at least $100.00 worth of stamps.
We did this for quite a few years with a great success but for one reason or another the number of members dwindle to too low and the exchanges became not as enticing.
Happy Collecting!
I did it years ago and it was good. I think world-wide with perhaps some general guidelines on interests are good but if it gets too specific it would fall apart.
Is there a list of members and interests? Also, how do we decide who to send to and know they will reciprocate?
I'm ready to go any time.
Dave
Hi Dave,
If you were in the club before then you know how it works.
You can send stamps to any or all of the members, whoever receives stamps from you
will send you stamps back, you can send stamps first if you like, or wait to receive the first batch of stamps.
So far these are the members:
PhilatelistMag20
StampCollector
eugen01
dell4c
You can see their names on the members page or contact anyone directly.
Have a great weekend!
Tony

Dave,
I think that your wife and mine belong to the same club.

Few years back we had some members on a stamp trade club, we were trading, to avoid common stamps, stamps with a minimum cat, value of a dollar, if we can get enough members interested we can revive this club again. It was fun and a very easy way to add stamps to our collections. Anyone in?
