first off 2 ebay scan, stamp & sellers description





Ok now my take on this auction item:

Cancel date cannot be 29 Aug 1862, IAW with Boston book (see scan boston book), "first printing 29 Oct 1862" I think the cancel date (I could be wrong 29 Aug 1863 or 4.

The margins (top & bottom) too narrow! In addition the margins have both been cut!

Now look at the seller description see scan above. "perf's (all four sides) was first issues in 1864", I have dozens and other collectors have hundreds that were printed in Oct, Nov, & Dec 1862, and 1863.

Last scan what is now called "THE BOSTON BOOK"



I see more and more description by sellers as "GENUINE" and even seen on SOR! I'm begining to think sellers on ebay and SOR are just puffing up the description to make sells and profit.

What do other SOR members think?
