I just bought this on an online auction, hopefully the seller doesn't mind if I use his image since I don't have the item yet. Can anyone give me any information about where this cancel was used? Is there a good book out there on fancy cancels?

I check your cancel in the Tracy Simpson book, nothing found. My guess it's a one off or maybe someone practice example, again just my thinking!

Thanks for looking!
i just posted a cover with a Star of David on it; i believe it was preprinted, rather than a cancel; however its use on USPOD represented Dead Letter Office. See https://stamporama.com/auction/auction_m ...

The Star of David on a cover references the content of the cover, valuable content but not money. This one on the stamp with the little circle inside probably means something as well, I wonder what! Your cover is a very interesting one!! I was the high bidder but decided I'd better go back and do a BIN just in case someone else decided to do it instead. It's a very good cover, thanks!!

Looking for any help for any background for this cancel?
