Ok, scratch the comment that it is identical on both sides.
See this image. There is one character different on the back from the front

This matches the info in the section on postal reply cards, but I do not see a listing for any cards that have the message on one side and the reply on the other side. Am I simply missing it?

Always check the reverse side when doing identification, this should be the first thing you check.
You said "It is printed identically on both sides (so no point in showing the back the other side, it wouldn't look any different)."
Then you said "Ok, scratch the comment that it is identical on both sides."
You see always check and examine the reverse side!!!
In my Scott Cat. Ryukyu Islands post card section there are verious listing for this design!
Hope this helps?

"Hope this helps?"
Roy,
I believe that you have an unfolded and unsevered prepaid reply postal card pair. The individual postcards would be 90mm by 140 mm. Printing on both sides would be normal so the reply side would be hidden when sent.
I don't have any definite experience in this specific area, so treat this as speculation.

I have this rather large postal card (7 in x 5.5 in. 180mm x 140mm). It is the version with "Ryukyus" under the oriental text.
It is printed identically on both sides (so no point in showing the back the other side, it wouldn't look any different).
I see a listing for an earlier "printed on both sides" postal card of a different design in my Scott USA Specialized, but I can't find any information on this one, other than the standard listing for this design. I also would have thought that Scott would indicate such a larger size card.
Can anybody offer any info?

Roy
