If the Buyer has ordered more than one item then one can just put a minus amount in the invoice along with an explanation.
There appears to be no way one can cancel the sale and have the item automatically relisted as an auction lot or back into its approval book space.
If the buyer confirms, in writing, that the item was a mistake/error and not wanted, (and you are happy to accept) then feel free to immediately re-list in the auction, or in approvals by perhaps adding a new page for that item.
As Ian says, on the invoice enter a negative figure for that item with an explanation as to why.
Thank you Ian; I'll give that a try next time. I was not concerned about relisting the item, just wanting to know is there was an easy way to cancel a bid at the sellers request.

Is there an easy way for a seller to cancel a "buy it now bid" or an "approval bid" (at the request of the buyer)? This has come up many, many times over the years. A buyer makes a bid and then realizes that they have bid on the wrong item or already have the item in question. I can't find an easy way to do so.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
