I haven't got my SG Specialised out of storage yet, but most of these would be listed. The best item there is the last one, "missing Kent".
Thanks Dave,
Looks like it's time to do a bit of research - there's always something
that's very, very cool. Someone went "full blown CSI". not my thing but much respect.
Some off these varieties are listed in my old "SG Catalogue of Commonwealth Varieties" with variety ("V") numbers.
This catalogue is subtitled, "Plate and Cylinder Varieties 1952-1980".
This is a first edition and I don't know whether a second edition was ever published.
I've checked three of the references: "missing Kent", the Northern Ireland "flower flaw" and the Tanganyika variety. All three are listed with these V numbers.
By the way, the "E" suffix numbers refer to catalogue numbers in SG's Elizabethan catalogue which used to list more items than the Part 1 catalogue of the time.
I don't have any newer SG UK specialised catalogues for comparison and I haven't tried to cross-reference any listings in a newer Part 1 catalogue to see if they are listed there.
Thank you Nigel - great information. I'll add some of the old catalogs to my search list - you never know when or where old stamp books will show up. I found a couple of oddballs I had been looking for at our local library book sale a couple of years ago.
The amount of work researching and finding these stamps must have taken a very long time!
It takes time and dedication, and I love it!
Here's another of the flaws on the NPY issue, "Lake in Yorkshire"

I found this long forgotten 5 page study of anomalies on Great Britain stamps - no idea where it came from or even if the notes are legitimate. Are these types of things collected and identified somewhere or are they just curios ? I ask out of curiosity more than anything so I can figure out what to do with them.
Thanks for any information you can provide.
