I have a few questions:
1. Is adding a watermark (using computer) easy to do?
2. Can a watermark (using computer) be removed easy?
If both answers to 1. & 2. above, then how does this prove ownership just based on computer generate watermark, that's easy to do?
One way is to request the owner to provide an unwatermarked version.

An interesting discussion of sorts!
I write philatelic articles a lot!
I estimate 25% of my images, are not my own...
I ALWAYS credit them!
What about the legality of free watermark removers?
Canva,Adobe,GnuImp,watermarkremover.io,etc;
I feel this is the best place to put it. (About stamps & software?!)
Oh, well!
