Those are amazing pieces, thanks for showing!!! I'm a huge fan of horse stuff, here's a very large poster I have on the wall upstairs!

Here's a picture of Skip, our horse from about 25 years ago! My wife was a devoted rider and rode with the Halifax Bengal Lancers in the 1970's and 80's. Skip was her favourite horse and she bought her when she left, half Arab and half Percheron - a large white blob!!

Nice
Valuable is right!
$$$$$
Probably cost as much as Joe's horse!
I don't ride, but its nice looking!
I bet you have seen the new US HORSES stamps!
One really looks like yours...

Just for the heck (Hopefully this is not swearing?) of it I looked up the four stamps that started this post for numbers and values in my 2016 Scott Specialized for US.
1) R132 $2000 2) RO25 $400 3) RO165 $700 4) RS73 $200
I actually expected higher values!! I would gladly pay $200 for that gorgeous horse stamp!!!
These along with many others will be in an upcoming Siegel auction.

I went into E-Bay and put a bid in on one of the Dalley's Horse Salve stamps they had there. It's a slightly rough copy so only a space filler! I'd be happy to add it to my collection of misc. US revenues, areas I don't really collect but like the look of!
That "CC" large denomination revenue is my all time favorite of the US revenue stamps.
I can only imagine what the rest of the collection looks like. Those are some really nice and valuable stamps. I took the liberty and looked up the values in my 2025 US Specialized catalog. The R132 is valued at $8500 and if it has a cut cancel $3500 ? Some further research would need to be done to the private die proprietary stamps such as finding out if the are silks or have watermarks that can mean the difference of several hundred dollars realized at auction.
Banknoteguy I hope your friend realizes a big payday.

Just won this on E-Bay! It's not as nice as the one shown in the original post - staining and a few pulled perfs. But it's worth the $70 I paid for it, at least it is to me!

Harvey,
That is still a very nice stamp and is a very worthy addition to any collection. If you're happy then that is all that matters and if I had to guess you think like I do? You're either a have or have not. I like being one who is a have.
Jeremy

I saw that and agree with you. I know it was foolish but I still like it! I guess it's the foolish thing with horses. I have several great horse prints, liquor bottles with horses, horse medicine bottles some in original unopened boxes, etc. Now I have another horse stamp. If I were actually collecting that type of US revenue the damage would probably bother me - I'm just glad to give this poor old cripple a home!! Call me silly, I guess!
Here's one of my bottles, empty unfortunately. I stole this picture on line but I do have the box that goes with it! A friend was cleaning out an old shed on her property that she wanted to use as her artist studio and found this treasure! It is incredibly rare to find the box! also one of my prints, early part of 1800's. US horse: Tom Thumb

Joe do you have a copy of the US HORSES stamps??

Honestly Ari, I really prefer the older engraved stamps. Most of the US material after my 1976 cut off doesn't interest me very much. I do have some newer horse series from Poland and Russia because my cutoff is 1985.

A friend who has been collecting Revenue stamps for decades has sent his collection to an auction house to sell.
Just some interesting examples he posted that are part of his collection. I have almost zero knowledge of this area. I don't know but I assume these are fairly expensive stamps.
