Recalling my previous posting.

This stamp is flat press printed from the 1870s.

The sheet was printed and then put into a rack, each sheet was printed then stacked on to the previous printed sheet. If the a sheet was over inked and still wet the sheet above could could pick up an offsett image but in negative oientation. Sometime a complete or almost complete image would show.

Special note: This can only happen on flat press printed stamps!

Image Not Found

The offsett would not add any value to the stamp.

I should have mentioned with flat press print stamps, they are gummed in a separate operation after printing not before!
