French describes this as broken relief on the printing plate.

Some times the 2 dot examples show a double transfer.

Condition: both space fillers

The enlargements are blurred a little bit to show the "DOT" so the one dot example looks sort of like a 2 dot!

The 2 dot example show more plate wear then the one dot example (Common sense)!
