Probably signifying type 2.
thanks! I thought something like that but Scott does not show any type variations, that I can find. Thoughts?
In my older Classic specialized, 147b is shown with 2 types, type 2 "base of 1 higher than top of 2", fraction bar longer than that of type 1 which has base of 1 level with top of 2.
Michel lists type I as issued Jan 1st,1924
type II Oct.17th,1927
Except of the differences mentioned by sheepshanks,Michel claims,
that the C in type I is 3,8 mm,while in type II 3,2 mm.

Thank you Werner and Sheepshanks - very helpful info!
looks to me like the type ll has smaller & thinner bars, letters, and numbers. Thanks again - wouldn't have noticed without your input!
Hi all, I've been using EZ Stamp for 12+ years but never saw this before. What is the "Tll" note in the denomination/color line? Thanks!
