I went to three post offices in our area last week to buy some of these. Each one was sold out of them.
Am I in a time warp? The copyright date is 2023, Ernie says they were released September 14th 2024, and Joe says he tried to buy some last week!
Now with all the stamps being Forever, do they just re-send stamps like these out every November?
the 2025 USPS releases include the same 2024 religious issue Ernie pictured. Waste not, want not. Of course, I can't explain the other 347 issues for 2025.
The ones your image shows and the ones I have are all dated 2024 in the lower right corner, maybe the 2025 ones have this years date?
It's not unusual for a stamp issue to have a copyright date that's earlier than the issue date.
For the past several years, the USPS has issued "religious" Christmas stamps every other year. So the plan is that such stamps will be available for two years. Stamps sold in the second of those two years will not have a different date.

I love these Christmas Stamps I picked up yesterday. Madonna and Child based on a painting by 17th century Italian artist Giovanni Battista Salvi. The stamp was issued September 14th, 2024. Who knew Jesus and Mary were Gingers?

The original oil painting sits in a museum in Indianapolis, Indiana.
