At the moment I'm working on some recent France issues (2020-4) and fairly modern Greece (c. 1985-1990).
Recently, I've been able to add some Tuva pictorials from the 1930s, Sarawak from various periods and older St Helena.
I do not exactly know. A start indicated some were from Russia (some not listed in any catalog) and a few obvious ones were Azerbaijan. Most will always be on a Vario page.
If I had a list of Cyrillic markings it would help. The ISWSC identifier does not include any.,

I have been working on my checklist for the International Part III album and discovered why I have very few China stamps in the 1949-1955 period that it covers. Total catalog value to fill the stamps in the International album for this period for China is over $20,000. I have completed building the checklist through Germany and the total catalog value of mint stamps required to fill the album with stamps is 41,110.70 for the 4,778 stamp spaces for USA through Germany in the album! My expected count of stamps for the album from just counting spaces previously for the album is 13,942 so I am really curious what the eventual total will be. Definitely this period represents a significantly higher outlay that the Part IV and V albums for 1955 through 1963.
Angore, that is quite a mix!
I see a few from Georgia. The Soviet area ones with several different alphabets are Transcaucasia. Ukraine, possibly Belarus, and Syria. Japanese-occupied Burma. Ethiopia, French (general) colonies postage dues.
Thanks to Colnect's image ID app and the ISWSC identifier I have made a lot of progress on identifying the issues. It would have taken a much loner time otherwise. The majority are from Russia.
The ISWSC list does list Cyrillic markings but not complete.
Some USSR. I doubt I will ever mount them on a Steiner page. I may do early Russia (pre-WW1) if I had many.

Good luck with the early Russia, it can be a real challenge. Russia and Poland were two of my earliest countries when I started collecting and there is still an awful lot I don't know! Have a look at the discussion area for Russia, there are some great pictures of the early material. It really makes for a great looking collection!! A couple examples:

REALLY NICE STUFF!!!
I did get them all identified thanks to Colnect image ID app.
This was the summary.

I thought I had finished Yugoslavia until I looked at a remainder album and found more under Jugoslavia.
I had forgotten about the spelling in older albums since I never had any interest in the region. For some time, I thought Yugoslavia was just like Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and Romania as being a prolific CTO factories.
Did Scott ever put Yugoslavia as Jugoslavia in the catalogs?
Slowly working through 100's of France. Putting them in order in five 32 page stockbooks.
A lot of them are dated but the many, many booklet stamps are undated and are a right pain.
But hey ho that's stamp collecting for you!
No stamps, but a lot of stamping to get some warmth back into my feet, have just spent an hour with a snow blower to clear the drive. Wife wants to go shopping for some wool for knitting.
Things we do for love, and to save a clout around the ear!

A packet of Bolivia, then a packet of Dominican Republic once I finish the first. I think I bought both from SOR sellers over a decade ago, finally getting around to sorting through them.

I have been continuing on my checklist building exercise for the Scott International Part III album for stamps from 1949 through 1955 and have completed it through New Zealand now. Currently at 8,529 stamps in my list of which I have 4,306. At this point I have found three stamps which were placed in this album improperly
and have removed them. Total catalog value to complete the abum for A-New Zealand per the Scott 2022 catalog with mint stamps would be $65,696.70 in case anyone is interested which is far higher than I would have guessed for this time period.
I am actually beginning to enjoy this somewhat tedious process as I review the album and its content in detail as well as the Scott catalog itself with emphasis on 1949 through 1955 and build the Excel spreadsheet. It is quite interesting how few is the number of catalog entries that are omitted from this album. Most of the omissions are related to occasional high value stamp(s) at the end of large sets. In virtually all cases there is blank space that would easily allow inclusion of these stamps if you had them.
My first Saudi Arabia.

Am working on Iceland and Tunisia. Those are two countries with consistently interesting stamps, so no point in cutoff dates (aside from Iceland's self-cutoff). I keep focusing on a few years at a time.
Regarding Scott and Yugoslavia: in my 1973 Scott, that country is listed as Jugoslavia.

Admin note: I started a new thread since the part 2 was getting slow to load.
