Here's a link to the NZ postal service's special commemorative set of stamps, featuring images of Queen Elizabeth II over the years. The set commemorates the 60th anniversary of her coronation, and features six "head shots" of the Queen from 1953 to present.

A Service Dog gives a person with a disability independence. Never approach, distract or pet a working dog, especially when (s)he is in harness. Never be afraid to ask questions to the handler (parent).

Not very becoming portraits Sad

Good idea but the aesthetics would make me cringe seeing them in my collection. (Just my personal viewpoint). How unfortunate.

Especially the $1.40 and higher denominations. It's almost as if she were morphing into a Sith Lord!

The past is a foreign country, they do things different there.

Kiwis are big on inner beauty and so am I.

Should you prefer a wash-and-wear, drip-dry, no-iron, wrinkle-free society, relocate to southern California where the biggest industry is cosmetic surgery and the only people with sagging body parts are snowbirds.

All that being said, I agree, these New Zealand stamps are not attractive as stamps, lacking artistic merit and data capture. As an aside, I believe Canada issued the first set of postage stamps depicting an ageing Queen Elizabeth II, an innovation much applauded at the time by the British media, not so much by stamp collectors.

Even further aside, botulism toxin is as big a seller in Canada as it is in that nation where everyone over age thirty is irrelevant.

Yes, my face looks like thirty kilometres of corduroy road.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Canada was the first, or among the earliest, countries to depict Queen Victoria in her later years (not those pretty Chalon poses when she was 18!).
