Hi
I just checked out the Canada Post Official site. They do not list them. I think they would have been used here in the province of Alberta only. Canada Post did issue an official stamp in 2005 for the Alberta Centennial, but it is not any of the ones on your cover. Hope that helps.
The Edmonton Alberta Stamp Club working with Canada Post & the Alberta Centennial 2005 Committee produced Alberta,s first local postage stamps. As indicated on the cover the 4 stamps were designed by students in Alberta as part of an Alberta Centennial 2005 design contest. The stamps were unveiled at the BNAPEX show on Sept 2,2005 in Edmonton.(British North American Philatelic Society)
This does not answer question re postal validity of these stamps but I believe they were sold as souvenir items both on and off cover--I am not certain on this .
Harold
Perhaps these stamps were issued for the provincial stamp show for interested stamp collectors as a fund raiser. Great Britain scouts raise money at Christmas time,, in certain areas by issuing and delivering cards with local post Just wondering Cheryl
I checked the website for albertastampdesigns and discovered that the issuing of stamps via a school contest was done again in 2012 Proceeds of sales led to bursaries for students...
