I think these are from G.B. and they are up for sale at $8.00 for the 5 sheets.
I would like to know what they are and what they are worth.Image Not Found

re: 5 Versions of these.

They are British and they're Post Office training stamps. This one is in the colour of the 2p Machin stamp introduced at decimalisation.

As to actual value, I'd suggest that to most stampers -0-.
Perhaps Gibbons sets some level for a sheet, but wonder if as Post office training property they can be acquired legally?

Examples of the Green 2p ( singles ) with large black defacing bards on the face do not generate much of a premium.

re: 5 Versions of these.

On a similar theme but much later, these are Royal Mail 'dummy stamps' used by the Post Office for training purposes.

These were sold by a dealer at £2.50 each, or £7.50 for a gutter pair.

I think I paid about £1 for the pane about four months ago. I had to buy these just for the 'amazement' value; I couldn't quite believe that staff needed such training aids. Rolling Eyes

Appropriately named perhaps.

$8 for 5 sheets......an absolute bargain. Good luck if you bid. If you don't, then send me a link !!

The De La Rue pane at £1 is also a snip. How come I never see this stuff for these prices ?
