Similar design but different colors? Or could the background color have faded? Color changeling maybe?
.
Theresa you are correct it is not the same stamp. The design under the crown is different ( does this relate to year of issue?)
Edit. Or is it, difficult to see on the link site.
"Similar design but different colors? Or could the background color have faded? Color changeling maybe?

It looks like the original image has a date along the right side margin, looks like 2015 but difficult to see. Possibly a colour change or misprint, or maybe from a souvenir sheet.
Edit:- the perfs are die cut so probably from a s/a issue (booklet?) rather than a sheet.
That’s interesting. The mystery continues. I missed that one, too.
Oh good catch on the die cut crown!
Doug, In looking at the perfs, your ones differ from that of the web link, The latter seem to have a crown type cut whereas your stamp is plain, so is it possibly a forgery?
Anyone notice number 6 the on the collar.
Good catch Opa, had not noticed it before your mention. Does not look to be part of the franking.
Doug, I have been in touch with Jay who runs a Scandinavian stamp website jsmith.com (sales and listings) but he has not dealt with Swedish new issues since about 2014. Part of his reply is the following:-
I am afraid that you may have to find somebody in Sweden to assist you
on this query.
I don't know if he responds to such inquiries, but here is the contact
information for the editor of the Facit Catalog (the primary catalog in
Sweden). DON'T be offended if you don't get a reply -- I often don't
receive a reply when he is busy.

Maybe worth an email with a good scan of your stamp.
Hi,
I don´t collect Sweden after 1980 but as far as I know all Swedish stamps should have text in the margin, or in the picture, what year it was released, who has made the original and also, on engraved stamps. who the engraver is . This has been the case for many, many years.
I also know that there are a lot of forgeries on modern Swedish stamps. I have a friend who has spezialized on modern forgeries and he think this is the case but he hasn´t seen this one himself.
If you look hard there is a text on the right right side. It looks a very faded.
The text is the same as on the web page image.
Is the die cut crown actually cut through or is it printed on?
With regard to the "6" on the collar I'm wondering if it could be from the franking machine as an id, do you have any other similar cancellations to examine for a similar number.
The actual perforations still look slightly different to my eyes, but that could just be an age thing!
This is the stamp I am trying to identify.
Close up of text on the stamp
This is a stamp from my collection
This is a closeup of the text from stamp above.
Both stamps have a die cut crown.
So I am now thinking that the top stamp has faded.
Any thoughts.
Doug
I don't know. It seems to me that the one at the bottom (the identified one) is printed in various tones of one colour. It would not make sense, at least not to me, that only the background faded and the picture of the king didn't. On the other hand, the colours used for the king are not the same in these two stamps.
Furthermore, the line of the text seems to be magenta just as the king, so it should have stayed the same instead of turning grey.
It is a strange thing. I hope the Swedish editor of the Facit catalogue knows more.
The stamp is off paper, but appears to be a self-adhesive. Perhaps some used a chemical to remove the stamp and the ink used for the background reacted.
"The stamp is off paper, but appears to be a self-adhesive. Perhaps some used a chemical to remove the stamp and the ink used for the background reacted. "
Oh! If it soaked off that easily, it must be an older issue. Isn’t 2017 the year Sweden started issuing stamps that will not soak with just water?
I am not sure when it started but new stamps issued by PostNord for both Denmark and Sweden are impossible to soak...
I received this email today.

Hi Doug,
The day of issue was 2015-01-15.
This stamp lack the background colour and the text on the right margin.
So it can be either waste paper stamp from printing or part of example for different printing stages.
If I will see another like this again, I´ll let You know.
Best regards,
